NEW BALANCE FUEL CELL REBEL v5
CAN ONE SHOE DO IT ALL?
The New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel v5 seems to have been around for ages with not even a hint of version 6 and that could be a good sign. Don’t fix what ain’t broken. Time and time again we have all found a shoe that we love only to be disapointed with the follow up versions.
This is a simple, lightweight, well cushioned daily trainer that can also cope easily with a turn of speed.

SO, SHOULD YOU BUY THEM?
I have these and love them, have 345 km on them so far without much sign of wear and still feel just as cushioned as when new.
I use them as a daily trainer for my easy runs but as I almost always throw in some strides or hill sprints, I appreciate how adaptable these are when you want to pick up the pace. You certainly wouldn’t have a problem doing your tempo or threshold runs in these. If there is one shoe that can do the lot, this is it.
